To be perfectly honest, Yukio has had something in his possession for a while now with the intent to give it to the person it was meant for - without knowing just how to go about such a thing. How does one give gifts? How does one friend?

This isn't exactly like the group birthday celebration he and the Exwires had taken part in back at the academy. This is far more personal, and that thought alone makes it more daunting than it has any right to be.

( It's nothing to be worried about, he keeps telling himself. It's nothing to think too deeply about. Just do it, already.

He returns to the apartment from a routine trip out, having picked up various supplies that he and the others are in need of, and when he finds Henry simply taking up space in the living room all on his own, he decides that now is just as good a time as any. ( And convinces himself that the longer he procrastinates, the more he'll somehow manage to convince himself that it had been a silly idea in the first place. )

"Hey," he says in the other's direction, albeit a tiny bit awkwardly.

Henry had been a bit of a weepy willow ever since the whole I Ate my Boss thing. He had been going out to look for jobs but wound up listlessly drifting in the park and coming home at sundown. For the moment he was staring into space. Or in the general direction of one of Gamzee's bongs and wondering if the troll would notice if it just disappeared.

[It's a crisp morning, a little too much so to be out and about without a good jacket on, but Yukio had gone out anyway, and returned well before midmorning. His schedule was erratic, and he was careful to leave a note whenever he went out, but it meant actually taking the time to speak to the other resident of the apartment that he DIDN'T know ... hasn't happened.

Which might be why once he's returned from whatever errand he'd gone out to do, he goes looking for the apartment's resident nymph, peeking out at the balcony for any sign of foliage, and then heading to cautiously tap on the door to the other bedroom.]

[You know what's nice? Actually having more or less the same daily sleep schedule as his brother. Meaning more time in each day where they can actually afford to hang out - which is not something Ginko intends to let go to waste.

Besides which, it's a nice change to actually know what Henry is talking about with regards to plants and everything rather than just assuming that he's right.]

I think I might start moving some plants into my apartment. Should probably talk to my flatmate first, but I doubt he'll mind too much.
